Pomfret Gallery is situated in the friendly market town of Pontefract in West Yorkshire. Close to the M62 and A1 and approximately 13 miles from Leeds.
Market days are on Wednesdays and Saturdays and Freeport Designer Outlet is just a couple of miles down the road at Glasshoughton. There is a museum in the town centre with free entry and just on the outskirts of the town centre is the Castle ruins which date back to the 11th century, entry to the castle is also free.

Pontefract has a racecourse adjacent to the park and meetings are held regularly during the summer months.
